In 2019 We have added home Automation to our display to power own the display and power it off at a set time each night. So now our Christmas light display can basically run itself.

Home assistant is used to schedule the powering on and off for all the controllers in my display.
This year I have added temp sensors to each enclosure to monitor.
the other controlled item this year is the Amplifier. So now at 10 PM every night the speakers out the front go off and then people can only listen to the music through there car radio.

We have also added it to our snow and bubble machine so that we can control them by our phone also. this allows both myself and my wife to be able to control the snow and bubble machine.
